Vegan Kasespatzle: Austiran Risotto

If you like risotto, you would LOVE kasespatzle. The cheesy spatzle served in Austria and parts of Germany.
Kasespatzle is not as common. It's only served in small parts of Germany and Austria. That's what makes this traditional way of serving spatzle genuin. Those who like risotto would love kasespatzle. Cinnamon Girl's Recipe is 100% vegan of course.

Ingredients:

1 chopped medium sized-onion
6 garlic cloves
about 1/3 cup plantbased milk
1 TBSP all purpose flour
A bit of vegetable oil for frying
Spices: nutmeg, grownded English pepper, basil, salt&pepper
Instructions:
1. Fry the Onion until golden-brown.
2. Add the garlic, spices amd flower. mix until it becomes doughy.
3. Slowly add a bit of plantbased milk and mix. Keep adding the plantbased milsk and mix until the sauce becomes similar to alfredo sauce in texture.
4. Lower the heat and add the spatzle. Keep mixing on low-heat for 2-3 minutes
Serving: it's highly reccomended to add fresh herbs on top.
