Recipe for 2 deep loaf pans

Ingredients:

1/2 TBSPN of cocoa powder

1 cup of cooked, pealed and grated beat root

Fresh squeezed juice from 1 medium size lemon

1/2 cup of plant based milk suppliment

2/3 cup of vegetable oil

1.5 cups of tap water

Instructions:

1. In a rectangle shaped baking pan, make the Red Velvet Cake according to Cinnamon Girl's Recipe. The cake might take less time to bake because ot the size of the pan.

2. When the cake is ready, let it cool down on a net. Then cover and refrigerate overnight.

3. Use a heart-shaped cookie-cutter to cut heart shapes out of the red velvet cake. Cover the cumbs and the leftovers, and keep for decorating the cakes.

4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

5. Make the vanilla batter according to the instructions. Pour about 1 CM into the baking pans.

6. Arrange the red velvet hearts in a line in the middle of both pans. Make sure they're tight so they won't move.

7. Apply the rest of the batter above the red velvet hearts and to the sides. It's ok if the red velvet hearts are a bit higher than the batter because the batter will rise while the red velvet hearts have already been baked.

8. Bake for about 15 minutes. To check if the cake is ready, stick a toothpick in the vanilla part of the cake. The cake is ready when the toothpick comes out clean.

9. Cool down on a net. Then cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before decorating the cakes.

Bonus: use the red velvet cake leftovers to decorate the cake.

a. The red velvet hearts could be cutted thinner and used as decoration.

b. Red Velvet and White Chocolate Marbles

  1. Without the lid, heat for 20-30 seconds in the microwave vegan white chocolate ganache, white chocolate and whiskey ganache, or white chocolate and strawberry whine ganache and pour over the red velvet cake leftovers.

  2. Knead in bear hands until texture becomes similar to playdough.

  3. Wet your hands a bit with tap water and roll the dough into marble shapes.

  4. You can decorate the marbles with vegan ganach or roll them in coconut powder.

c. Just use the red velvet cake crumbs as decoration on top of the cake cream or frosting.
